Billy heads to his new colledge and finds that he has the exact same instructor teaching him the exact same thing that he learnt in the last school. What he has yet to learn is that he could get the same guy all the way to the ACMG exam stage. The work is only handed out to a dozen individuals who closely watch who is allowed to get this lucrative gig.

A serious judgement error led to the death of one aspiring guide and bad injury of another. With out questioning the causes the examiner was back to work the next day examining another set of students, We will be hearing from him again soon.

Billy hits his Dad up to become a mountain guide by going to Thompson River University. So this will cost the old man $15000 plus a year but Billy is not going to be much closer to being a guide.

Billy comes back from his first year at Fernie outdoor school. Now he is really bitten by the bug. The only thing is he now has to go to Thompson River University in Kamloops BC. Here he will repeat the exact same courses by the exact same instructors.

Banff Boy asks once again if he can get a litle work from the ACMG. The technical director makes it quite clear that he will never get in on the lucrative ACMG work. So Banff Boy decides that he is going to go it on his own. The association is not servicing his needs nor does it represent him. In fact only 10% of its members have a vote on constitutional issues. So the 3 level of gym guides, hiking guides, climbing guides, ski guides, alpine guides, backpacking guide, snow golf guides, see eye dog guides and god knows what else kinda guides have NO vote on the things that effect their occupations. So banff Boy realises that his hard earned money is being spent kissing Euro Ass like that has anything to do with the Canadian Guiding market. But he will soon learn that ACMG spy's are everywhere in in the Parks Canada admin building.
